beach shoot with Gerilyn & Mahmood

Gerilyn cuts my hairs and Mahmood owns the great gym where i work out (when i drag my big butt over there...) so i owed them a photo shoot! New Smyrna Beach was our backdrop on Easter Sunday. they are already married but wanted a portrait just for fun! like a re-engagement shoot!

kids, dogs, families

i was a fashion photographer in the beginning, but look at me now! and i love it. funny how life works. i don't want kids, but photographing their kooky faces is so interesting for me. i never tell them what to do. i just look at them and they look at me and some strange intuitive thing goes on. i think they are confused that someone is not yelling at them to SMILE! and pulling their face this way and that, and then they give me these priceless looks.

sometimes at a wedding, the off beat photo is the best! i like catching kids off guard, when they are not hamming it up for me. and just awkward human moments. to me, it's what photography is all about. here are a few from a wedding today.

June Wear look book

just shot a look book for June out of NYC. great leather line, carried at our very own Tuni in Winter Park! several models included just-married Jess and Anna Dang, that dang asian! she skateboards, dj's and models. so cool! my favorites, of course, are the outtakes re: anna throwing gang signs!
